1. What is the difference between Hemp seed oil and CBD oil?
CBD oils are extracted from the whole plant, flower, leaves, and stock, thus capturing the cannabidiols and giving the therapeutic rich oil.
Hemp seed oil comes from cold pressing nothing but the hemp seed, thus having no, or very little, therapeutic effect. Hemp seed oils are mostly used for cooking, soaps, lotions, or in food products.
2. What extraction process do you use?
At Rocky Ridge Hemp Co., we use the gold standard of extraction — CO2 Extraction. Even though CO2 extraction is a more expensive process, we feel that it gives you the purest and highest-quality final product. Some other companies use an ethanol or butane process. We cannot fathom the idea of taking our harvested crop and using ethanol or butane (the fuel found in cigarette lighters) for extraction!
3. Will CBD cause me to fail a drug test?
Since there are only trace amounts of THC in our products (0.3% or less), in most cases it will not cause a positive drug test when consumed at reasonable servings. However, we cannot guarantee that using any CBD products will not result in a failed or passed drug screen, due to the different screening types available.
4. How are your quality products priced lower compared to like competitors?
We hear this a lot. How can we offer such high quality products at 20-40% less than other quality CBD products on the market? The answer is simple: we are a true family owned and operated farm. We control our process from seed to finished product. We do not have to buy inventory from a middleman, wholesaler, or distributor. We grow our own inventory and pass those savings on to you!
5. Do you test for glyphosate (RoundUp) and heavy metals?
Good question! With the current court rulings that state that Glyphosate (RoundUP) is a known carcinogen, it is a good idea to check with anyone that you would buy produce or CBD products from to ensure you won’t be ingesting this chemical. As a USDA-certified organic farm, we are 100% free of chemicals and any GMO products. Be sure to check out our posted third party tested lab results that verify our products as herbicide-, pesticide-, and heavy metal-free. Unlike some other companies, we are as transparent as possible because we want our customers to know that they are receiving the cleanest and highest-quality products from our family to yours.
6. How do I take CBD oil and at what dosage?
It’s a personal preference on the way CBD is delivered. CBD can be administered by oils, creams, salves, pills, edibles, or they can be vaped. For oils, the best way to absorb them is to place them under the tongue for about 90 seconds before swallowing.
The FDA will not allow us to recommend dosages or even say that CBD will or may help with any particular condition. A good approach is to begin taking a set amount once or twice a day for the first 3-4 days in order to build it up in your system. This may be the best way to truly see the effects of CBD on your body. After this period, increase or decrease the amount you’re taking based on the results you’re seeking.
7. Can I get High from CBD oil?
THC is the compound in marijuana that makes one “high.” Our products contain such a low amount of THC (<0.3%) that you cannot get “high.” Learn more about the difference between THC and CBD here.
